Jordy Lemoine (January 14, 1988) is a French singer. In 1992, his single,"Dur Dur D'Être Bébé" ("It's Tough to Be a Baby") made it to number one in France. Jordy, born in Caen in Brittany, is the son of a record producer.
"Dur Dur D'Être Bébé" sold 2 million copies in France and was a dance hit across Europe and Japan. It landed at 58 on the US charts.
In the 1990s, the French government banned Jordy's songs from televison and radio, out of concern that Jordy was being exploited by his parents.
In 1996 his parents opened La Ferme de Jordy (Jordy's Farm), a children tourist attraction and financial failure. After the failure, Jordy's parents divorced and he was emancipated.
