Joseph Henri Moissan
Joseph Henri Moissan (1852-1907) was a French chemist who isolated fluorine in 1886. This element had been identified as early as 1771 by Carl Wilhelm Scheele. He was born on September 28 1852 and died February 20 1907, having just received the 1906 Nobel Chemistry prize.
