Josh Gardner
Josh Gardner (born September 14, 1982 in Brazosport , Texas) is an American soccer midfielder, who currently plays for the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer.
Gardner played college soccer at the University of Cincinnati from 2001 to 2003. As a sophomore, he was named second-team All-Conference USA, registering five assists. As a junior, he scored six goals and six assists for the Bearcats, and was named first-team All-Ohio.
On the strength of a single exceptional game for the Under-20 national team, Gardner was offered a Project-40 contract before the 2004 season, which he promptly signed. He was drafted 13th overall in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft, but saw very little playing time with the Galaxy, appearing in only two games, playing 25 minutes.
