Judas
Judas (יהודה "Praise", Standard Hebrew Yəhuda, Tiberian Hebrew Yəhûḏāh) is the name of several men in late Jewish and New Testament history:
- Judas Iscariot, betrayer of Jesus
- Judas Maccabaeus, Jewish revolt leader
- Judas the Zealot, alternate name of Simon the Canaanite
- Judas of Galilee, Jewish revolt leader

Judas Priest, the music group, took its named from a minced oath.
Judas is also a common derogatory nickname for those, who after reaching some kind of prominence in an institution, change to rival/opposite sides for financial reasons. This often happens in sports.
