Judge Reinhold

Judge Reinhold (born May 21, 1957 in Wilmington, Delaware) is an American actor. He has starred in movies such as Beverly Hills Cop and Ruthless People.

Judge Reinhold grew up in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Following his education at Mary Washington College and then the North Carolina School of the Arts, Judge Reinhold performed at various regional theatres, including Burt Reynolds' Dinner Theater in Jupiter, Florida before getting his first break in TV in an ABC Afterschools Special: A Step Too Slow.

His first major film role was high schooler Brad Hamilton in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. In 1984 he made his breakthrough playing, Detective Billy Rosewood, the nice-guy detective sent to trail Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills Cop (1984).

In 1986, he went on to star in Ruthless People, once again cast in a part requiring nice-guy portrayal of decency and dependency.

Although he has now made over 76 films, Reinhold's career has slowed since the mid-1980s. In 1994, he did appear in two major features, Beverly Hills Cop III and The Santa Clause.

Aside from his acting work, as of November 2003, Judge Reinhold works with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America's Smart Moves program in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
