Julie Winnefred Bertrand
Julie Winnefred Bertrand (born September 16, 1891), is the oldest living Canadian and 7th oldest person in the world. The oldest living Canadian since the death of Sister Anne Samson on November 29, 2004, she is only 14 months younger than the oldest living person in the world, Hendrikje van Andel. Ms. Bertrand is in fairly good health, as she dresses daily, has her hair done bi-weekly, and enjoys a glass of wine on special occasions. Her memory is quite good, and she can recognize most of her friends and relatives. On September 16, 2004 she celebrated her 113th birthday at her long-time residence in Montreal, Quebec -- an accomplishment which very few people manage to complete.
