Justin Sofio is a race car driver born in Arleta, California, United States of America on the April 15, 1979. Sofio started his professional career in karting during 1992, winning several championships before joining Formula Toyota Atlantic team Binder Racing as a part-time mechanic in 1997. In 2001 he become chief mechanic for Jensen Racing, although he only spent one year there and returned to Binder in 2002.

In 2004 he made his return to racing, debuting in the Toyota Atlantic B-Class at Long Beach and finishing 13th as the best placed B-Class competitor. He also continued to serve as a mechanic with Binder Racing throughout the season, helping them to the Atlantic C2 title with Cam Binder at the wheel. In 2005 Sofio will compete in several more races in the number 15 Binder car, and won his first race of the season at Long Beach.
