'Kamille Bidan appears in the 80's anime Zeta Gundam. In his fight against the Titans, Kamille sharpens his Newtype skills to become an ace Gundam pilot for A.E.U.G. He escapes from Titans custody, due to an attack by A.E.U.G. where he steals a Gundam MK II from the Titans. From there he comes up with the idea of the Zeta Gundam by combing the Gundam MKII and the Rick Dias.

During the series he makes many rivals, his two main rivals being Jerid Messa and Yazan Gable. Jerid has a strong hatred for Kamille, because in battle he took the lives of three people very dear to him. Kamille usually acts by his heart or judgement rather than logic. He is very nice person though. His love's mind was manipulated by the Titans and their Psyco Gundam which lead her to have split personalities. Her name was unknown, she was referred as Four. Her life ended just like Lalah in Gundam.

Towards the end of the series Kamille creates the Bio System, which helps his performance in the Zeta rise sharply. But there is a side affect from the Bio Sensor which leads him to lose his personality and mind. From there the story picks up Double Zeta Gundam.
