Kamtapur Peoples Party, is a political party working in the northern parts of the Indian state of West Bengal. KPP was founded in January 1996 by Atul Roy. KPP works amongst the Rajbanshi population. KPP demands the set-up of a separate Kamtapur state and recognition of the dialect of the Rajbanshis as a separate language.

KPP is alleged to be the political wing of the terrorist outfit Kamtapur Liberation Organization . The student wing of KPP is the All Kamtapur Students Union. The womens wing is called Kamtapur Womens Rights Forum.

Ahead of the 2001 West Bengal assembly elections KPP joined the All India Trinamool Congress-led Bangla Bachao Front.

In spring 2003 KPP suffered a internal division. Atul Roy, considered as a moderate, was dethroned and replaced by a more hardline leadership. The present president of KPP is Nikhil Roy and the general secretary is Subhas Burman. Atul Roy remains a member of the central committee.

Ahead of the 2004 Lok Sabha elections KPP formed a front together with Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.
