Karl Alexander, Duke of Württemberg

Karl I Alexander, Duke of Württemberg (24 May 1684 - 12 March 1737) was the eldest son of Duke Friedrich Karl of Württemberg-Winnental and Eleanore Juliane, Princess of Brandenburg-Ansbach .

His maternal grandparents were Albrecht, Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach and Sophie Margarethe, Princess of Oettingen-Oetingen (1634 - 1664). Albrecht was a son of Joachim Ernst, Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach and grandson of Johann Georg Hohenzollern.

He succeeded his father as Duke of Württemberg-Winnental in in 1698, and inherited the main Duchy of Württemberg, centered on Stuttgart, from his cousin, Eberhard IV Ludwig, in 1733. He was succeeded by his son.
