Karrie Webb
Karrie Anne Webb (born 21 December, 1974) is an Australian professional golfer, and is Australia's best female player and one of the most successful players of all time. She has won a large number of major championships, including the Women's British Open in 1995, 1997, and 2002, and the U.S. Women's Open in 2000 and 2001, amongst a number of other tournaments.
Webb grew up in Ayr in Queensland, and still maintains a residence there. She began her professional golfing career in 1994, joining the US LPGA tour in 1996.
She has already qualified for the World Golf Hall of Fame, but will not be eligible for induction until she completes her 10th year on the LPGA tour in 2005.
