Katharine Cornell
Katharine Cornell (February 16, 1898 - June 9, 1974) was an American stage actress, writer, and Theatrical producer and theatre owner.
She is noted for her major Broadway roles in serious dramas, often directed by her husband Guthrie McClintic . Her most famous role was Elizabeth Barrett Browning in the 1931 Broadway production of The Barretts of Wimpole Street.
Katharine Cornell died in 1974 in Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts.
