Kevin Ara

Kevin Ara (born February 8, 1982) is an American soccer player, who last played defensive midfielder for D.C. United of Major League Soccer.

Ara played his college soccer at Harvard University, where he had a rather distinguished career. While at Harvard, he was named first team All-Ivy twice, second team once, and was also named first team All-New England his junior season. Ara captained the team in both his junior and senior seasons.

After graduating from Harvard, Ara was selected 24th overall in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft. Ara did not, however, manage to earn much playing time or make a significant impact during his 2004 rookie season.

After the 2004 season, Ara was selected 18th overall by Real Salt Lake in the Expansion Draft, but was released before the 2005 season started.
