Kevin Conroy
Kevin Conroy (born November 30 1955 in Westbury, New York) is an American stage, screen, and voice actor, best known for his portrayal of DC Comics superhero Batman.
Chosen out of over 150 candidates, he became the voice of Batman in Batman: The Animated Series, premiering in 1992. He has revived his role as the Dark Knight in The New Adventures of Batman and Superman , Batman Beyond, and Justice League/Justice League Unlimited, and guest starred on Static Shock and The Zeta Project, as well as starred in the feature-length movies Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, and most recently, Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman.
Fans universally agree that Conroy's versatile voice undoubtedly captures the lighter personality of Bruce Wayne and the brooding loner Batman, conveying waves of emotion in the simplest dialogue. His choleric potrayal of an elderly Bruce Wayne having lost both the Batman identity (due to failing health) and Wayne Enterprises (due to a hostile takeover) in the futuristic Batman Beyond is both chilling and heartwrenching.
