Keya Paha County, Nebraska
Keya Paha County is a county located in the state of Nebraska. It was named for the Keya Paha River that runs through it, which in turn was named from two Lakota words, keya (turtle) and paha (river). Its county seat is Springview6.
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 983 people, 409 households, and 292 families residing in the county. The population density is 0/km² (1/mi²). There are 548 housing units at an average density of 0/km² (1/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 99.39% White, 0.00% Black or African American, 0.20% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.41% from two or more races. 3.87% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 409 households out of which 24.90% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.30% are married couples living together, 4.40% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.60% are non-families. 26.20% of all households are made up of individuals and 13.90% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
