Kimi 'Watanabe' Finster is the step-sister of Chuckie Finster on the hit Nickelodeon shows Rugrats and All Grown Up. She was introduced in the movie Rugrats in Paris: The Movie with her mother Kira.

Rugrats

Sporting three pig-tails, a yellow skirt, cowgirl boots, and a diaper, Kimi was the newest, and apparently last, new addition to the Rugrats cast. When she was first on the show, most fans saw her as a Tommy-clone and, for the most part, she was. She was brave and always wanted adventures, even if it meant scaring her brother in the process. When she was a baby, she had a doll named Superthing. It is unknown where she got this toy from. Also, during this series, we never know whatever happened to her biological father. The last episode featured her birthday where she became two years old.

All Grown Up

Now at the age of 11 (some say 10, others say 12) Kimi has grown up into more her own person now. She is independent, witty, and overall a fun person to hang with. Unlike most of her peers, she sees the best in even the worst-reputationed people in school such as the punk kid Z.

Unlike when she was a baby, Kimi now sports many different outfits and hairdoes from A ponytail, to a mowhawk (only one episode thankfully) to currently Pigtails (and once she had her hair down) and she has also has a great taste in fashion from fir-lined coats to skater-outfits.

Recently it's been revealed that Kimi is not seeing anyone, she finds it hard to imagine falling in love with anyone their age...they're too immature. Although her brother Chuckie has said that she knows what a first kiss is like, but for all he knows she's just pulling his leg.

It has become apparent, a few times during the series, that Kimi has become the second in command of the group, able to take over things when Tommy is unable to do so. She can be a great leader when she puts her mind to it.

Kimi works at the Java Lava, her families coffe shop, with her brother, her parents, and their neighbor Betty DeVille (the twins Phil and Lil's mother)

It has been revealed that Kimi does know her father...apparently, it is safe to assume, he and Kira are divorced. Hiro, Kimi's father, lives in Japan and has phone conversations with his daughter whenever he can.

Every year, before Christmas, Kimi and her mother go to Japan to visit her father, but they always return back home in time to spend Christmas morning with the rest of the family...even if they just arrived.

Kimi Couplings

Man fans have tried to pair up Kimi with others. There are T/K fans (Tommy/Kimi) who find that these two have quite a lot in common and would make a wonderful couple. There have been numorous hints of such a coupling happening in the show.

P/K Fans (Phil/Kimi) who, while no evidence have been seen in the show, most fans look at this and believe that, since they are complete opposites, and opposites have been known to attract, they'd be cute together.

Z/K fans (Z/Kimi) the obvious ones that see Kimi and the boy she meets, Z, as being Boyfriend and Girlfriend since Kimi spends quality time with Z

Fan-created Kimis

Man fans have created different versions of Kimi. One has her in a tight relationship with Tommy, however this version also had her almost get assaulted by High School students at a beach which has made her very short tempered and caused her to train her heart out in martial arts.

Another version has a possible future for Kimi where she's a police detective. Working out of the city of Anaheim, Kimi solves some of the toughest crimes, from murder to rape to petty thievery to drug dealing. Married to Tommy Pickles, in the most recent chapter a new character has been introduced, Tommy and Kimi's daughter Molly-Marie Lulu Pickles.

Another version has Kimi as a Superheroine named Ninjetta whose origns are alot like Spider-man's but with a Ninja theme. This version later teams up with Danny Phantom and Jenny from My Life as a Teenage Robot to form the Nicktoons version of the Teen Titans known as the Odd Trio.

Another version has Kimi and her friends as superheroes very similar to the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, with Kimi as Trini Kwan, Lil as Kimberly Hart, and so on.

Yet another version has Kimi in a dark world where Vampires rule the world. Not much is known about this version but it has been revealed that, towards the end, Kimi will become a blood thirsty Vampiress.

Fans' view on Kimi

It can be easy to say that Kimi was once a not that loved character during Rugrats but mainly that was due to her being a Tommy-Clone. Now during All Grown Up it is very easy to say that Kimi has won the hearts of many fans and, based off of the every growing number of fan arts featuring her, Kimi may as well have become the #1 fav in a lot of peoples eyes
