Kincardine Bridge
The Kincardine Bridge is a road bridge crossing the River Forth near Kincardine , Scotland.
The bridge was constructed in 1936, nearly thirty years before the other major Forth crossing, the Forth Road Bridge, and lies fifteen miles to the northwest of it. It is the common diversionary route for traffic north from Edinburgh and eastern Scotland when the Forth Bridge is closed or under repair.
The bridge is part of the A876 road, and is a single lane each way. It is due to be replaced in the near future by a new Upper Forth Crossing.
