King Namhae of Silla (? - 24, r. 4 - 24) is the second king of Silla. According to Kim Dae-Mun's quote in Samguk Sagi, Chachaung means a shaman in Old Korean. He is the eldest son of Bak Hyeokgeose of Silla and Queen Alyeong. His wife is Lady Unje (운제, 雲帝).
His reign is characterised by series of foreign invasions. In 4 AD, the Nangnang army surrounded Geumseong, Silla capital but was repelled. Japanese invaded Silla in 14 and Silla fought back, and Nangnang invaded again while Sillan soldiers were fighting Japanese. But a comet shower scared Nangnang soldiers and they retreated.
