Kings of Nepal
The king of Nepal is known as the Raja; his Queen is known as the Rani.
The following is a list of Nepal's modern Rajas:
- Prithvi Narayan Shah (1768–1775) ruler of Gurkha from 1743

- Rana Bahadur Shah (1777–1799)
- Girvan Yudha Bikram Shah (1799–1816)

- Tribhuvan Bir Bikram Shah (1911–1950) first time
- Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah (1950–1951) two months, first time

- Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev (1972–2001)
- Dipendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev (2001) three days, incapacitated
