Kjetil Rekdal
Kjetil André Rekdal (born November 6, 1968) is a Norwegian football player and coach. He is 1.87 meters tall and weighs about 85 kilos. He is the head coach for Vålerenga I.F. Fotball, as well as a midfielder/defender, but only with limited playingtime in the 2004-season. He claims he is not going to play in the 2005-season, only concentrate on his coaching. He has coached Vålerenga since 2001, and has a contract that runs throughout the 2006-season.
Rekdal has 83 games for the Norwegian national team, after his debut against Italy in 1987. He has scored 17 goals for the national team, among those one legendary goal at Wembley against England, and a penalty in the 1998 World Cup against Brazil to win the game 2-1.
He has previously played for these clubs: Fiksdal/Rekdal, Molde, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Lierse, Rennes, Hertha Berlin.
Rekdal is married and has two children.
