South Korea competed as Korea at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. It was the third Olympiad in which South Korea competed apart from North Korea, and the ninth time that South Korea was present. South Korea competed under the IOC country code KOR.

Results by event

Archery

Korea's second appearance in Olympic archer was highly successful, especially for the women's team. Seo Hyang-Soon set new Olympic records in both the single and double FITA round categories. The Korean medalists were separated by only 13 points, while the fourth place competitor was 31 points behind Kim Jin-Ho .

Women's:

  • Seo Hyang-Soon - 2568 points (OR, gold medal)
  • Kim Jin-Ho - 2555 points (bronze medal)
  • Park Young-Sook - 2445 points (17th place)

Men's:

  • Koo Ja-Chung - 2500 points (8th place)
  • Chqi Won-Tae - 2490 points (11th place)
  • Jeon In-Su - 2467 points (22nd place)
