Koriki Kiyonaga

Koriki Kiyonaga (高力 清長; 1530March 12, 1608) was a daimyo in Azuchi-Momoyama period and Edo period. He was a retainer of Tokugawa clan . His father was Koriki Yasunaga .

Born in Mikawa Province, in 1552 he served Ieyasu. he, Amano Yasukage and Honda Shigetsugu were taken into confidence as three bugyo when Ieyasu ruled Mikawa Province. People described Yasukage as discreet, Shigetsugu as tough and Kiyonaga as generous. Because of that, Kiyonaga was also known as Hotoke Koriki (仏高力).

He was taken into confidence as a bugyo and on the other hand he was active in various battles, for example, transporting provision to Otaka castle at the Battle of Okehazama, the suppression of Ikko-ikki at Mikawa Province, the expedition to Totomi Province, the participation in Battle of Komaki and Nagakute and the ship construction for the Seven-Year War. He was a most active fudai daimyo contributing to reunifying Japan by Ieyasu. In 1590, he was praised for his credit and wqa gave 20,000 koku at Iwatsuki, Musashi Province.

In his last years, his son Koriki Masanaga died before him. Retiring after the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600, he transfered responsibility for the family to his grandchild, Koriki Tadahusa .
