Kotka (finnish Eagle) is a town and municipality of Finland.
It is located in the province of Southern Finland and is part of the Kymenlaakso region. The municipality has a population of 54,618 (2003) and covers an area of 274.12 kmē of which 5.78 kmē is water. The population density is 199.2 inhabitants per kmē.
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
