Kris Benson

Kris Benson is a Major League Baseball pitcher who was born on November 7th, 1974 in Superior, WI. He has played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and currently plays for the New York Mets. He was the first overall pick by the Pirates in the 1996 baseball entry draft. He has failed to live up to the extremely high expectations of a first overall pick, mainly due to his Tommy John surgery that he had in 2001.

He has 47 wins and 53 losses with a 4.28 career ERA as of the end of the 2004 season.

He is also known for his wife, model Anna Benson.
