Kung Fu Hustle

Kung Fu Hustle () is a martial arts film first released in Hong Kong in 2004. It is scheduled for general US debut on April 22, 2005 after showing in Los Angeles and New York for two weeks.

Kung Fu Hustle is a humorous mockery of the wuxia genre, played and directed by Stephen Chow. It contains most of the characteristics of a typical wuxia movie, with a lot of ridiculous exaggerations and comic plots.

Plot

The movie is set in Shanghai around the 1940s. It tells the story of two bums on the street who pretend to be the members of the ruthless Axe Gang. Their extortion scheme fails when the victims fight back, and the plot thickens when the real Axe Gang shows up.
