LD Alajuelense

Liga Deportiva Alajuelense is a Costa Rican football club, which plays in Alajuela, Costa Rica. The club was founded June 18, 1919.

Alajuelense has won 23 national championships, including four straight from 2000 to 2003 and two CONCACAF Champions' Cups, in 1986 and 2004, the last one ,get it over the Deportivo Saprissa , of Costa Rica.In the first final match between two costaricans soccer teams in the history of CONCACAF.

The most great player in the history of the team is Alejandro Morera Soto.

Current notable players today include Steven Bryce, Froylan Ledezma , Mauricio Solís, Wardy Alfaro , Pablo Gabas ,Pablo Izaguirre and Rolando Fonseca.
