LaTasha Colander

LaTasha Colander (born August 23, 1976 in Norfolk, Virginia) is a Track and Field sprint athlete, competing internationally for United States. She is a 2004 Olympic Trials 100m Champion; 2000 Olympic 4x400m gold medalist; Two-time U.S. 400m champion (’00, ’01); World Record Holder, 4x200m relay; 1994 USA Juniors champion (100H); 2nd, 1994 World Junior Champs (100H).

She graduated at University of North Carolina. She missed the 2001 World Championships due to a quadricep injury. She transformed herself from a junior hurdles champion to a two-time US champion at 400m. In 2003, she shifted gears by concentrating on the 100m and in 2004 she won the US Olympic trials over the short sprint. In 2000 she established the LC Treasures Within Foundation - a foundation with the mission to strengthen kids, families and the world through education, sports and spirituality.
