Laki (language)
(Redirected from Lak)
Laki is an Iranian language of the north-western branch spoken in the central Zagros region of Iran (Luristan province). It is considered a halfway dialect between Luri and Sorani-Kurdish. Luri itself is considered a Persian dialect. Today the Laki language is converging more and more with the dominant Persian language in Iran.
The Laks are an ethnic group in Iran and the surrounding areas. Laki (or Lekí) is the name of their tongue, a dialect of Gurâni . Neighboring ethnic groups include the Lurs and Kurds.
