In the Gundam anime series, very large tanks of comparable size and complexity to naval warships are called Land Battleships. Land battleships are a staple of Gundam, they have appeared in nearly every Gundam series to date (with notable absences in Gundam Wing and G Gundam). A land battleship typically has many crew members and carries large-caliber naval guns (for example, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed's Lesseps class land battleship includes three dual 16-inch gun turrets).
