Langensalza
Langensalza is a town located in Thuringia, Germany, with a 1960 population of 16,000. In 1075, Langensalza was the site of final victory of Emperor Henry IV against the rebelling Saxons and Thuringians, as well as the site of the 1866 victory of the Prussians over Hanoverians. Langensalza is something of a tourist spot, with picturesque ruins of a medieval castle, and sulphur springs nearby.
