Laodicea
Laodicea is a Hellenistic name that can apply to at least six cities named for a Seleucid queen of the 3rd century BCE. They include:
- Laodicea ad Mare modern Latakia, Syria
- Laodicea ad Lycum modern Denizli, Turkey was the metropolis of Phrygia Pacatiana, a site of an obscure 4th century Council of Laodicea.
- Laodicea in Canaan modern Beirut, Lebanon
