Last Christmas

"Last Christmas" is a song written by George Michael in 1984. It was released by his group Wham! in time for Christmas that year and sold well over a million copies, but was kept from the number one position by "Do They Know It's Christmas?". It is thus the best-selling single in the UK never to have made number one. In a second attempt at the coveted Christmas No. 1 slot it was re-released the following year, making No. 3 in the charts.

In 1985 a french version was released as "Reviens-moi" by Dalida and was a hit in France.

In 1995 a version was released by Danish singer Whigfield.

In 1998 a version was released by British singer Billie Piper.

In 2004 a version was released on a limited edition '7 by American band Jimmy Eat World exclusively to iTunes.

Swedish singer Jan Johansen has made a version of the song.
