Last Prophet

Muslims believe that Muhammad was the last Prophet and Messenger of the monotheistic Abrahamic tradition, and that the Qur'an is the last revelation of God. Muslims also believe that after Qur'an and Muhammad, there will be no guidance from God. In the Qur'an, Muhammad is referred to as the "Seal of the Prophets" or the "last Prophet".

Before Muhammad, the terms were reputedly used in Manichaeism, a Persian faith whose founder Mani claimed to be the Seal of the Prophets and the Last Prophet.

According to Christianity and Mandaeanism, John the Baptist was the last of the prophets.
