Leave Her to Heaven

Leave Her to Heaven is a 1945 film noir which tells the story of a man who gradually realizes that his wife's insane jealousy may be the cause of several tragedies in his life. It stars Gene Tierney, Cornel Wilde, Jeanne Crain, Vincent Price, Darryl Hickman and Chill Wills.

The movie was adapted by Jo Swerling from the novel by Ben Ames Williams . It was directed by John M. Stahl .

It won the Academy Award for Best Cinematography, and was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role (Gene Tierney), Best Art Direction-Interior Decoration, Color and Best Sound, Recording.

Leave Her to Heaven was remade for television in 1988 with the title Too Good to Be True. It was adapted by Timothy Bradshaw and directed by Christian I. Nyby II , and starred Loni Anderson, Patrick Duffy, Glynnis O'Connor , Larry Drake , Neil Patrick Harris, James Sikking and Julie Harris.
