Leavesden Film Studios

Leavesden Film Studios is a film and media complex constructed on the site of the former Rolls Royce factory at Leavesden Aerodrome, which was an important centre of aircraft production during World War II. It situated approximately 20 miles northwest of central London near the town of Watford. With the growth of film-making here allied trades in modelmaking and set construction have also grown in the area.
Films made here in the vast converted hangars have included:
- The James Bond blockbusters GoldenEye (1995) and Die Another Day (2002)
- Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999)
- Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002)
- Sleepy Hollow
- Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) (also known as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone)
- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
