Lee Mavers
Lee Mavers was the frontman for the late-'80s Liverpuddlian pop group The La's. Mavers was the songwriter, singer, and guitarist from this critically acclaimed band, who were responsible for the smash hit "There She Goes ". Obsessing with the group's recordings, the band spiraled into oblivion (despite commercial success) and Mavers into seclusion, writing and possibly recording new material for no one but himself. Although he has denied heavy drug use, Lee Mavers is certainly one of the most eccentric figures in rock'n'roll. Rumors that he is beginning a "La's Reuinion" have kept fans occupied for years but as time goes on it becomes increasingly clear that, perhaps, Mavers is no longer interested in making music for others to hear.
