The Aviator is a mid-size luxury SUV from Lincoln. It was introduced in 2003 alongside an updated Ford Explorer, with which it shares a platform. The Aviator is made exclusively in Ford's Hazelwood (Missouri) Assembly Plant.

The first Aviator was released with a luxurious interior and good power but "mini-Navigator" looks that blended in at the showroom. Production of this Explorer-based Aviator will end in July, 2005.

A new Aviator is expected in 2007. It will use the CD3 car platform, shared with the 2006 Lincoln Zephyr.
