Lincoln Continental Mark IV
The Lincoln Continental Mark IV automobile, sold between 1972 and 1976 inclusive, was the replacement for the Mark III. It was longer and wider than the Mark it replaced, but weighed 221 pounds (100 kg) less. With a Ford 460 you could expect around 11 mpg (US).
The Mark IV and the contemporary Ford Thunderbird were essentially the same car, although with differing trim and equipment.
For the 1977 model year it was replaced by the Mark V, which kept similar dimensions and internals but featured updated straight-edged styling.
