List of movies by Mani Ratnam featuring A R Rahman

This is a list of movies made by the Indian director Mani Ratnam featuring the Indian music composer AR Rahman. Their partnership is widely regarded as having produced some of the best film music in Indian movies in the 1990's.

Note: Many of Mani Ratnam's movies were released simultaneously or later in multiple languages, usually Tamil and Hindi.

  • Yuva (Hindi)/ Ayutha Ezhuthu (Tamil) - 2004 (simultaneously made in two languages, with different casting, but same storyline. Tamil version was dubbed in Telugu with title 'Yuva')
  • Kannathil Muthamittal (Tamil) - 2002 (simultaneously dubbed in Telugu as 'Amrutha')
  • Alaipayuthey (Tamil) - 2000 (simultaneously dubbed in Telugu as 'Sakhi' and later remade in Hindi as "Saathiya", but not directed by Mani Ratnam)
  • Dil Se (Hindi) - 1998 (simultaneously dubbed in Tamil as "Uyire" and Telugu as 'Prematho')
  • Iruvar (Tamil) - 1997 (simultaneously dubbed in Telugu as 'Iddaru')
  • Bombay (Tamil) - 1995 (simultaneously dubbed in Hindi and Telugu, also as "Bombay")
  • Thiruda Thiruda (Tamil) - 1993 (later dubbed into Telugu as 'Donga Donga' and Hindi as 'Chor Chor')
  • Roja (Tamil) - 1992 (later dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Marathi under the same title)
