Little Italy
Little Italy is a general name for an ethnic enclave populated (or formerly populated) primarily by Italians. It can also be the name of a specific Italian neighbourhood, as in these cities:
- Little Italy in Baltimore, Maryland
- Little Italy in Cleveland, Ohio
- Little Italy in Manhattan, New York, New York
- Little Italy in San Diego, California
- Little Italy in Syracuse, New York
- Little Italy in Toronto, Ontario
Some Italian neighborhoods may have other names, but are colloquially referred to as "Little Italy," including:
- Belmont /Arthur Avenue, The Bronx, New York City (sometimes known as the Little Italy of the Bronx)
- The First Ward in Newark, New Jersey, now known as "Seventh Avenue."
- The Italian Market in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
- The Hill, Saint Louis
- North End, Boston
- North Beach, San Francisco
