Loch Treig
Loch Treig is a 9km loch situated in a steep-sided valley 20km east of Fort William. While there are no roads alongside the loch, the West Highland Railway follows its eastern bank. Its wilderness setting is somewhat spoilt by significant bank erosion caused by water level regulation. For details of the hydro-electric scheme see here.
