The London Borough of Greenwich is a London borough in southeast London, formed in 1965 my merging the former metropolitan boroughs of Greenwich and Woolwich.
Greenwich is one of five host boroughs for London's bid for the 2012 Olympics.

Demographics of Greenwich
According to the 2001 census the borough has a population of 214,403. It is 77% white, 7% black African, 4% Indian and 3% black Caribbean. 49% of householders are owner-occupiers.
