London North Centre

London North Centre is a federal and provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada. Its population is 107,672 and the average income is $71,995.

Geography

The district includes the north-central part of London, Ontario, including the University of Western Ontario and Victoria, University, and St. Joseph's Hospitals. Wonderland Road, Oxford Street, Wharncliffe Road, and south branch of the Thames River form its western boundary with the district of London West, Highbury Avenue and the south branch of the Thames its eastern and southern boundaries with London Fanshawe , and the north city limit its boundary with Perth Middlesex to the north.

Federal riding

The federal riding was created in 1966 when the London riding was divided into London East and London West. In 1996 London East was renamed London Adelaide, and was given its current name in 1997.

Provincial riding

The provincial riding of London was divided in 1955 into London North and London South. London North was reorganized as London North Centre to match the federal riding in 1999.
