Lord Hollick
Clive Hollick (Lord Hollick of Notting Hill) (born 19 May 1945) is a British businessman with media interests.
Educated at Taunton School , Southampton. Read Politics, Psychology and Sociology at Nottingham University.
Originally a graduate trainee at Hambros Bank , in 1974 Hollick joined stock-brokers JH Vavasseur Group as chief executive. The company was later renamed MAI , and Hollick turned it into a successful media company. MAI merged with United Newspapers , publishers of the Daily Express and Daily Star, in 1996, forming United News and Media, of which he became chief executive.
He is Managing Director of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, previously CEO of United Business Media plc. He is also a director of Diageo plc, Honeywell International and Chairman of the South Bank Centre arts complex in London.
He was created a life peer on 20 June 1991. He is married to Susan Mary Woodford-Hollick and has three daughters.
