Loxodonta is a genus in Elephantidae, the family of elephants. It was named by Cuvier in 1825.
Fossils from Loxodonta have only been found in Africa, where they developed in the middle Pliocene.

- Savannah Elephant (Loxodonta africana).
- Forest Elephant (Loxodonta cyclotis).
