Lu Guimong
Lu Guimong 陆龟蒙 ( ? -- ca 881 AD)
Tang dynasty recluse poet,Lu Guimong 陆龟蒙 lived in seclusion at Puli Town near Suzhou. Pseudonym: Mr. Puli,Tiansuizhi, Jianghushanren.
He and his friend, poet 皮日休 Pi Rixiu created a style of matching rhyme poetry: first one party composed a poem, the other party then reply with a new poem using the same rhyme. His works included:
- Songlin Ji, a collection of matching rhyme poems by 陆龟蒙 Lu Guimong and 皮日休 Pi Rixiu
- Puli Ji, Collection of Puli.
Lu Guimong tomb
Lu Guimong tomb is near the Baoshen temple in Luzhi, Suzhou. Two tall gingko trees were handplanted by him, still standing today. The Fare Breeze Pavilion was reputed to be his favourite place for study and meeting friends.
