Luke Vercollone
Luke Vercollone (born April 4, 1982 in Norwalk, Connecticut) is an American soccer player, who currently plays for the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer.
Vercollone played four years of college soccer at Seton Hall University, where he was named to the All-Big EAST first team his senior season. Vercollone finished his career at Seton Hall with 11 goals and 24 assists. Vercollone also played for the Cape Cod Crusaders of the PDL in 2003, registering 5 goals and 5 assists for a team that won back-to-back PDL championships in 2002 and 2003.
After graduating from Seton Hall, Vercollone was drafted 42nd overall in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft by the Columbus Crew, but failed to make the team. The Revolution, however, picked him up, signing him to a developmental contract April 24. However, Vercollone has seen practically no time on the field his rookie season, playing a total of 2 minutes in two games.
