Lumban, Laguna
Lumban is one of the oldest towns and the third largest municipality in the province of Laguna in the Philippines. It got its name from "lumbang" tree. The province's capital town, Santa Cruz, as well as Cavinti and the famous Pagsanjan, were once part of Lumban. Lumban is also known as the "Embroidery Capital of the Philippines". It is where the famous Lake Caliraya is situated. It lies 104 kilometers southeast of Manila, the capital of the country.
