Lycon
Lycon can refer to one of two persons.
- First, in Greek mythology, Lycon was a son of King Hippocoon of Sparta. His father had taken the throne from his brother, Tyndareus. Heracles overthrew Hippocoon and killed Lycon, reinstating Tyndareus.
- Second, a fellow by the name of Lycon was involved in the trial of Socrates, and acted as one of the three prosecuters. Meletus and Anytus were the other two men responsible for Socrates's prosecution. All three are mentioned in Plato's dialogue, the Apology.
