Málaga (last name)
By the found data and the valuable contribution of the tradition, it has been established that two brothers, from Spanish origin, Atanasio and Carlos de Málaga, by a Chilean route, arrived at the City of Arequipa; soon they put foot in the valley of Yarabamba, Arequipa Province , possibly in the middle of 17th century With mutual support of its contemporaries and compatriots: Diego de Bernedo, Francisco Paula de Arenas y Pinto, Anselmo José de Rivera, Norberto de Arenas y Pinto, Pablo de Rivera y Echevarría and many other Spaniards which took possession of those fertile lands and they chose it as its definitive residence. Any peruvian or peruvian descendants who bears the last name Málaga have a derivative line of one of the brothers: Atanasio or Carlos de Málaga.
